What is an allergy?
An allergy from a western point of view is an abnormal reaction by a person’s immune system against a normally harmless substance. A person without allergies would have no reaction to this substance, but when a person who is allergic encounters the trigger, the body reacts by releasing chemicals, which cause allergy symptoms. Western medicine has many methods for testing allergies. Some of the tests are a “scratch test,” “patch test,” “intra-dermal test, ” “rast test,” “elisa test,” and various blood tests. The blood tests can identify many different allergies with just one blood sample. The normal western treatment is drug therapy using either antihistamines or steroids and these drugs will control the allergic symptoms. This does not seem to correct the underlying problem and so far the most effective treatment option has been to completely avoid the allergen for the entire life of the person.

Any allergy will be increased in a body that is to acidic. If one can maintain their body at an alkaline state there will be less allergic reactions. Yeast, Candida, bacteria, viruses, parasites, mold, fungus, etc. thrive on an acidic state in the body.
